PRIORITY MEALS
THE MOST IMPORTANT DELIVERY
Brand Activation, Social Good, CSR, PR
For millions of kids, school meals are their only meals. Yet, school districts across the country were closed because of COVID. But the US Postal Service was not closed.
While many food distribution systems have been activated, most operations require students or families to come to a central location to get meals. But what about the kids and families who can’t get there?
CONNECTING PANTRIES
AND POSTMASTERS
This program prototype (and soon to be product) enables food pantries to drop off food packages to their local post office for SAME DAY DELIVERY. After all, these carriers are already delivering to the community. More importantly, they drive the same routes as the school bus drivers.
JUST THE BEGINNING
We devised and tested the workflow in Cleveland, for a school of underserved children in within the city limits. Dozens of students received their meals via USPS delivery, allowing their parents to remain at work, or alleviating the need to drive to the food pantry. The test was a success, because it did not interrupt or revise postal operations and allowed repeatable, scalable positive impact.
